Individual Appointments

During individual appointments, your advisor will build your long-term plan and review your progress toward your degree and teaching license.

Please schedule at least one appointment each academic year to guarantee that you remain on track. (Individual appointments are not available during registration.)

Chris McDermott

Sarah Dolan

You should cancel your appointment in a timely manner through Appointment Manager. If you must cancel on the same day as your appointment, you must call the TCH Advising office at (309) 438-5873. Frequent cancellations or no shows are unprofessional and unacceptable.

Walk-In Appointments

Walk-In Appointments are offered during registration to assist with urgent issues. Locate the Walk-In Hours on Canvas, and see your advisor during that time.

TCH Override Policy

Students are expected to register on time for classes in the sequence recommended by their academic advisor. If an override into an undergraduate TCH course is needed, submit a Course Permit Request form in MyIllinoisState.edu.
